British experts will arrive in Ukraine in the near future in order to assess the Ukrainian system of issuing biometric passports, the press service of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry reports.
"One of the aspects of bilateral cooperation (between Ukraine and Britain – 112 International.) is to get acquainted with the system of issuing biometric passports. The EU, by granting visa-free travel to Ukrainian citizens, has properly assessed the quality of our passport documents," the statement said.
At the same time, Ukrainian specialists will go to the UK to get acquainted with the latest passport protection system.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's partners from the European Union assured that nothing threatened the visa-free regime, and that Ukrainian citizens would again be able to travel to EU countries as soon as the epidemic situation allowed.
"We welcomed the continued successful implementation of the visa-free regime for the citizens of Ukraine. We underlined the importance of continuing to fulfill the visa liberalization benchmarks and accelerating related reform efforts. We looked forward to the resumption of the normal travel opportunities for our citizens, once epidemiological conditions allow," reads the message.
