UK Ministry of Defence sent a warning notice to all military facilities in the country informing that Russian journalists were trying to penetrate one of the military bases, the Daily Mail reports. UK Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson urged the military to increase caution and vigilance due to the fact that recently the crew of the Russian Channel One was seen alongside the 77th Army Brigade in Berkshire, which deals with cybersecurity issues.

It is reported that Russian journalists were filming a military facility from their cars.

Earlier, Gavin Williamson claimed that Russia ‘should go away and shut up’ as Sky News reported.

The Secretary reacted on the question on the measures that can be assumed by Russia as the response to the actions of the UK and the reaction of London to it.

‘What will we do?  We will see how Russia responds to our actions. It is absolutely atrocious and outrages what Russia did in Salisbury. We have responded to that. Frankly, Russia should go away and shut up,’ Williamson said.

Totally, he noted that it is too early to talk on the further development of the situation and to speculate on this issue.

Also, he commented on the assumptions that the UK and Russia begin a new Cold war.

‘It is often characterized as the cool war. Now I would say it is entirely cold.’
