Mayor of Boryspil town Anatoliy Fedorchuk passed away, succumbing to Covid-19. Nash Kray party's press office reported that on October 28, as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine

Fedorchuk, the representative of this party, ran for Boryspil mayor's office once again. The incumbent mayor, he was about to be re-elected; according to the current vote count, he was winning in the local election.

Anatoliy Fedorchuk was 60. He has served as the mayor of Boryspil since 2006.

35,450 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the Ukrainian capital over 24 hours. 15 people passed away during this period; 221 people recovered. 12,146 citizens of Kyiv have overcome the disease since the pandemic began.

Earlier, WHO official Margareth Harris claimed that over one week, the mortality rate from coronavirus in Europe increased by almost 40 percent, compared to the last week's figure. According to her, the growth of mortality rate in the European region is actually intensive and worrying. Harris added that the efficiency of restrictions imposed in the EU countries could be analyzed only in two weeks.
