Former US National Security Advisor to the President, John Bolton is ready to testify in the impeachment case of Donald Trump if necessary. He said this in a statement published on the net.
"Since my testimony is once again at issue, I have had to resolve the serious competing issues as best I could, based on careful consideration and study. I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify," the message says.
We recall that the US Congress began the impeachment process on September 24 due to the scandal surrounding the July telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. Before the call, the US leader delayed the financial support of Ukraine. And during the telephone dialogue, Trump several times mentioned the need to continue the investigation into the Burisma gas company.
As reported on December 19, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach Trump. A judicial investigation should now take place in the Senate, led by Republicans. Two-thirds of the vote is needed to remove the president from office.
