Thorbjorn Jagland the Secretary General of the Council of Europe raised a concern about the decision of Kyiv to introduce the sanctions against the chain of the Russian TV channels in Ukraine as European Truth reports.

‘Blocking of the social networks, search systems, mail services and news websites contradicts our common understanding of the freedom of expression and freedom of the mass media. Moreover, such extensive bans do not correspond the principle of the proportion’, Jagland claimed.

Petro Poroshenko the President of Ukraine by his executive order put a resolution of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine into execution from April 28. This resolution renews the list of the juridical persons against whom the sanctions will be introduced.

Ukrainian telecommunication provider Volia reported that they analyze the Decree of the President about the introduction of the sanctions. The Kyivstar Company is discussing the technical capability to ban the Russian services.

Also, the Internet Association of Ukraine addressed to the President of Ukraine, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine to explain how to execute the decree about sanctions towards the Russian services within the limits of legislation.
