As is known, Blonken came to Ukraine with an official visit. He met with Ukrainian MPs, Parliamentary Speaker Dmytro Razumkov, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the visit, Blinken assured Ukrainian officials that Washingtom will keep supporting Ukraine in its struggle with Russia.
According to the State Secretary, President Joe Biden has asked him to visit Ukraine to confirm the strong devotion of the U.S. to sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Ukraine.
“The fact that we are here, we would like to confirm personally one more time that we would like to continue close cooperation and moreover, do a lot together. I want to personally say that I spent a lot of time in the country, particularly, after 2014, and I am very pleased to see the progress that you made in very difficult times, as well as the work that is ahead. On behalf of the president (Biden, - 112.international), I would like to say once more that I am very pleased to join you today. I know that we have a lot of work today,” Blinken said.
