Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with his counterparts from France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting took place on April 15. They discussed the situation on the eastern border of Ukraine. State Department Spokesperson Ned Price stated this.
Heads of diplomatic missions of the largest NATO countries reaffirmed their support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and commended Ukraine’s restraint in the face of Russian provocations, including its military buildup, inflammatory rhetoric, and increasing attacks at the contact line in Donbas.
The foreign ministers of the United States, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom emphasized the need for Russia to immediately de-escalate tensions with Ukraine.
As it was reported earlier, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken discussed all aspects of the Russian escalation that continues in occupied territories of Ukraine along the Russian-Ukrainian border and information space.
