Biden says America has to be better than this

US President Joe Biden urged to end the "uncivil war" between Democrats and Republicans. Biden said this during his inauguration.

We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal,” Biden said.

It is about the confrontation between the Democratic Party and the Republicans. The president also spoke out against the culture of "total war".

"My fellow Americans, we have to be different than this. America has to be better than this, and I believe America is so much better than this."

As we reported earlier, Joe Biden has taken the oath of office, becoming the 46th president of the United States. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts swore him in.

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God,” Biden said.

Outgoing president Donald Trump did not attend the ceremony, breaking with more than 150 years of tradition. He left the White House to attend a farewell event at Joint Base Andrews in suburban Maryland before flying to Florida.
