The Ukrainian people and officials of all levels should put Ukraine’s interests over those narrow personal interests of political circles. Joseph Biden, the U.S. Vice President, said this at the joint briefing with President Petro Poroshenko; that took place in Kyiv on Monday.

‘One should keep these national interests over the personal ones; common well-being over fancy biases and paltry achievements. This concerns everyone – Ukrainian ministers, lawmakers, judges, reporters, civil society members and common citizens whose work is to demand responsibility from those in offices,’ Biden said.

Speaking about implementation of Minsk agreement, Biden said that was only possible after Russia lived up to its commitments in terms of brining security to Donbas. ‘It won’t be implemented until Russia-ignited violence ceases, until Russia and its mediators fulfill its commitments regarding the ceasefire and let Donbas enjoy peace and security,’ he stressed.
