Ukraine will get the Pfizer vaccine for prevention of Covid-19 in late February or early March. Andriy Slavutsky, the Chief of UNICEF Ukraine's Healthcare Programs said so during the training for supply and logistics of vaccines in Kyiv on Thursday, February 18.

"Currently, the negotiation about documentation is underway. There's still one document that Ukraine is waiting for. But, according to preliminary inforation, Pfizer vaccine should reach [Ukraine] in late February or early March", Interfax-Ukraine quotes the official.

According to him, UNICEF will be dealing with the supply of the vaccine to Ukraine. The logistics company will be able to collect the vaccine from Boryspil international airport at any time. The cargo will then be moved to the central storage of the company; after that, it will be distributed across the region, transported in vans with trays with carbonic ice. Every such tray will hold 195 flasks, with six doses of vaccine in each. The daily amount of vaccine doses handed over to mobile crews will make 96 or 102, which is 16 or 17 flasks.
