US President Joe Biden said that contacts with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will take place in foreseeable future, in response to Putin’s proposal for dialogue, TASS reports. 

"I’m sure we’ll talk at some point," Biden told journalists on Friday.

Earlier, Putin offered Biden to hold an open live dialogue on Monday or even on Friday.

The day before, White House press secretary Jen Psaki commented on the possibility of a live dialogue between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Joe Biden. In particular, she stated that Biden had already spoken to President Putin, even though there were still other world leaders with whom he had not yet spoken. As for Putin's proposal to negotiate with Biden on Friday, Psaki said the president would be busy that day.

As we reported earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden called leader of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin "killer" and promised that the Russian would pay a price for interference in the presidential elections of the U.S. Biden threatened Putin with the consequences after the U.S. intelligence published a report that states about the interference of Russia in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.
