During the recent phone conversation with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Joe Biden insisted that the beginning of the nuclear war is unacceptable. TASS news agency reported that with the reference to Yuriy Ushakov, the Russian presidential assistant.

""It is very important that President Biden stressed several times during the conversation that a nuclear war cannot be started, nor can it be won. The Americans are proceeding from this, realizing that the U.S. and Russia have accumulated the largest nuclear capabilities in the world", said the official.

According to Putin's aide, "Biden also stressed that Russia and the United States could and should play a key role in efforts to ensure peace and security both in Europe and elsewhere on the globe".

As Ushakov noted, Biden assured Putin that Washington has no intention to deploy offensive offensive weapons in Ukraine.
