The topic of Ukraine will become one of the central ones in possible negotiations between US President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This was announced by the representative of the White House Jen Psaki during a briefing.

“We are discussing this possibility and will announce it when everything is finally decided. This will be an opportunity to discuss our serious concerns about the belligerent rhetoric and the military build-up on the border with Ukraine, "she said.

She also noted that the United States administration is consulting with the US Congress and allies in Europe on the possible imposition of sanctions against Russia in connection with the growing tensions on the borders of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will hold direct talks in the near future.
