The administration of US President Joe Biden will hold a virtual international summit on climate change on April 22 and 23. The head of state invited his colleagues from Russia and China, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, to the online talks. It is reported by DW.

Biden hopes to revitalize a climate forum with the world's largest economies that served under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama but fell into disrepair under Donald Trump. The conference, scheduled for April 22-23, is to be hosted by the leaders of more than 40 countries, including both leaders and laggards in the field of climate protection.

The White House expressed the hope that the forum participants will intensify and deepen global efforts aimed at reducing climate-damaging damage caused by the use of fossil fuels. The holding of this summit will make it possible to fulfill the campaign promise and the corresponding decree of Biden. During the forum, the White House also intends to announce its own ambitious plans to update the American economy, which will dramatically reduce harmful emissions from the use of coal, natural gas and oil.

Earlier, it was reported that Bill Gates is going to invest $ 2 billion in saving the climate. In his opinion, in order to cover the world's energy demand, it is necessary to continue to use nuclear power plants, as well as hydrogen fuel.
