Biden hopes that ambassadors to return to Moscow, Washington after his meeting with Putin

US President Joe Biden plans to discuss the tense diplomatic relations between Washington and Moscow during his meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. As is known, the two leaders are supposed to meet n Geneva next week. Three informed US sources told that in their commentaries for CNN.

According to the TV channel's interlocutors, Biden hopes to reach agreement with his Russian colleague, making sure that ambassadors of both countries return to Russia and the USA after several months of absence.

As is known, Anatoliy Antonov, the Russian ambassador in the USA was recalled from Washington about three months earlier, when President Joe Biden called Putin a "killer". John Sullivan, the American envoy in Moscow, left the Russian capital in April, when Russia offered him to return to Washington for consultations. The absence of ambassadors complicated the basic diplomatic procedures amidst already strained relations between the two states.
