U.S. President Joe Biden called leader of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin killer and promised that Russia would pay a price for interference in the presidential elections of the U.S., as ABC News reported.
Biden threatened Putin with the consequences after the U.S. intelligence published a report that states about the interference of Russia in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.
“He will pay a price. We had a long talk, he and I, when we -- I know him relatively well. And the conversation started off, I said, 'I know you and you know me. If I establish this occurred, then be prepared,” the U.S. President noted.
The Biden was asked whether or not he thinks that the Russian president is a killer as he knows him well. Biden answered the next: "Mmm hmm, I do”.
The American president noted that he does not plan to curtail cooperation with Russia in the sphere where mutual interest exists.
Earlier, the American intelligence published a report that states about the interference of Russia in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections. According to the intelligence, Russia and Iran tried to influence the elections.
