Biden arrives in Geneva for negotiations with Putin

Joe Biden, the US President arrived in Geneva from Brussels. On June 16, the American leader will meet and negotiate with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported.

Biden stopped at Geneva's InterContinental hotel; security measures are boosted in this area. The police and military vehicles seized the territory.

On June 15, the US leader is supposed to meet with Swiss president Guy Parmelin and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis.

The Biden-Putin meeting will be the first encounter of the two leaders since Biden was elected for presidency in November 2020.

The negotiations of two leaders will take place at La Grange villa in Geneva.

Earlier, President Putin's spokesman Dmitriy Peskov claimed that the negotiations are supposed to last for 4-5 hours. He also noted that the formats will change during the negotiations. Meanwhile, Peskov does not know whether or not the press conferences of the leaders of Russia and the U.S. will be synchronized.  According to him, the Russian leader will meet with his pool right after the talks.
