The MH17 International investigation team knows who shot down the plane, they know the call sign of the militants and their phone numbers, but they are very careful in their words for political reasons. Bellingcat coordinator Aric Toler expressed such an opinion in an interview with 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
"In my opinion, the Dutch researchers are aware of who was behind the Buk missile launch, they know the call signs of the separatists, and they know their phone numbers. I think that now, for political reasons, they are very careful, because Russian officials are also involved in it along with the militants, so the group is very careful with their words. I know that they can prove, they are confident that the Buk missile that brought down MH17 came from Russian 53th Kursk military unit, but they do not say it directly, and they do not want to reveal too much information. They were talking about immunity or amnesty for those who participated in the downing. Hence, they provide the opportunity and time to Russian separatists, so that they could change the political situation", Toler said.
He expressed the opinion that more than a hundred people were involved in the transportation of the missile system. According to him, they were "the separatists". He added that all involved are known through intercepted telephone conversations. In addition, Toler said that Russian soldiers were engaged there.
Coordinator of the international community expressed the hope that there will be witnesses who will tell the International investigation team what they saw, heard and know.
