Belarusian oppositionist Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya said she had an unofficial meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Lithuania. She said this in an interview with Segodnya.
She noted that the Belarusian opposition maintains contact with the Ukrainian government.
"I once met online with Mr. (Minister of Foreign Affairs - ed.) Kuleba, the day before yesterday we crossed paths with Mr. Zelensky in the west in Lithuania. We did not have official meetings, but you know how much we feel the support of Ukraine," she said.
The oppositionist thanked Ukraine for accepting tens of thousands of Belarusians and helping them with employment.
"And even though there have not been official summits yet, we feel such daily support," she added.
On July 6, the President of Ukraine visited Lithuania to participate in the 4th International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine.
During the visit, the Ukrainian president met with the President of the European Council Charles Michel. The parties discussed the preparations for the 23rd Ukraine-EU summit.
