Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya urged Belarusians to take part in the national strike on October 26. The corresponding video was published on the Telegram channel.
"National strike to take place on October 26. We will stop everything to show that we cannot be stopped," Tsikhanouskaya said.
Earlier, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya appealed to law enforcement officers involved in dispersing the protesters. The politician urged them to side with the people and set a deadline for it.
The opposition called on law enforcement officers to side with the demonstrators by October 25, when the so-called People's Ultimatum of Lukashenko comes to an end.
According to Tsikhanouskaya, all law enforcement officers who dispersed the demonstrators will be responsible for this and there will be no "general" lustration.
