The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reacted to the publication of personal data of 1,003 Belarusian police officers on the NEXTA Telegram channel. The statement was voiced by press secretary of the Ministry Olga Chemodanova.

According to her, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has all the tools and technologies that will make it possible to identify and prosecute the majority of those responsible for the data leak.

As the press secretary reported, with the help of the forces, means, and technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is really possible to establish and prosecute the vast majority of those responsible for the leakage of personal data of law enforcement officers to the Internet.

In Belarus, the Nexta Telegram channel published the data of 1,003 employees of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs involved in the arrests of protesters. The authors of the channel received information about law enforcement officers "thanks to cyber partisans."

Nexta's lists show the names of employees, their birthdays, duty stations, and ranks. It is not known how reliable this information is.

Nexta encouraged subscribers to report "facts about the crimes of specific people on the list, as well as their personal information."
