Kyrylo Kamyshev, the Belarusian temporary attache in Ukraine was summoned to Ukraine's Foreign Ministry; during the speech, he expressed his deep concern about the actions of Ukrainian government that the Belarusian side calls "unfriendly". Press office of the Belarusian embassy in Ukraine reported that on August 10.

"The Belarusian side once again reiterated its deep concern about the unfriendly actions of Ukraine against Belarus that lead to crisis in relations between countries", reads the message.

The Ukrainian authority commented on the meeting of the Belarusian diplomat, saying they "protested against a number of unacceptable statements of Oleksandr Lukashenko during yesterday's press conference". Ukraiinian diplomats warned their Belarusia colleagues that Lukashenko's statement about his readiness to recognize Crimea part of Russia was "equal to complicity in Kremlin's crimes against territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine".
