The Belarusian Embassy in Ukraine sent a note to the Foreign Ministry condemning the participation of the Belarusian opposition activists in the march in honor of Bandera as Interfax reported citing the diplomatic mission.

"The Belarusian Embassy in Ukraine sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemning the mass participation of the fugitive Belarusian extremist opposition activists under the symbols of the Belarusian collaborators and servants of the Third Reich in the nationalist march on January 1, 2022, with the wide coverage in the media of Ukraine, including on the national TV channels," the message states.

The embassy stated about "attempts to glorify collaborators, murderers, and punishers of the Belarusian people”. The office expressed a "strong protest against the growing radicalization of the anti-Belarusian position of Ukraine”.

We remind that on the evening of January 1, a torch procession for the birthday of Stepan Bandera was held in Kyiv. In different regions of Ukraine, about 3,500 people took part in the events dedicated to Bandera.
