The Foreign Ministry of Belarus has received instructions from President Alexander Lukashenko to invite the ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine in order to discuss the situation with the detention of 32 militants of the Russian private military company Wagner near Minsk. This was announced by State Secretary of the Security Council Andrei Ravkov, Belta reports.
"At the meeting, the head of state set a number of tasks for elements of the national security system. The tasks include the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on sending inquiries and invitations to ambassadors of both the Russian Federation and Ukraine in order to receive clarifications and discuss specific issues," Lavrov said.
He confirmed, referring to the results of interviews with detainees, that about 14 of them were spotted in Donbas. Therefore, the Ambassador of Ukraine is also invited to discuss this issue.
As we reported earlier, on the night of July 29, Belarusian law enforcement officers apprehended 32 militants of a foreign private military company near Minsk.
According to information, 200 mercenaries arrived in Belarus to destabilize the situation during the election campaign.
