Information about 100,000 military participating in Russian-Belarusian military drills West-2017 doesn’t correspond to reality, says press secretary of department of ideological work of Belarus’s Ministry of Defense Vladymyr Makarov, according to Interfax-Zapad.

He emphasized that the number of soldiers participating in the drills has been given many times: it’s 12,7000, while in Belarus specifically there are around 10,000 soldiers.

Previously US General in Europe said there was no compelling reason to believe the numbers Russia and Belarus claim, and urged them to invite media to observe the drills, as other countries do.
