Belarus may deploy its armed forces on the border with Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic states. Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Belarusian leader said so in his interview with a Russian reporter.

"I am forced to have plans and units, detachments of Belarusian army that is going to respond to any attempt to create the conflict here - on the border with the Baltic States, Poland and Ukraine", he said.

Earlier, Lukashenko also claimed he did not rule out that Russian nuclear weapons could be deployed in Belarus. During the interview, was asked about a recent statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons in Eastern Europe, particularly in Poland.
