Batkivshchyna party has made its top five of the candidates public; these five people will be among those running from that political force during the snap parliamentary election in Ukraine. The names were announced during the convention of Batkivshchyna in Kyiv.
Number one went to Yulia Tymoshenko, the founder and leader of the party. Oligarch, businessman and ex-Donetsk governor Serhiy Taruta is second on the list. Third place went to ex-chief of the State Security Service Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.
Tymoshenko's deputy Serhiy Sobolev comes fourth. Olena Kondratyuk, the MP, closes the top five; she is the one who initiated to merge two civil movements, Ukrainians Women's Congress and Equal Opportunities.
Over the last several days, Ukrainian political parties have been presenting their lists, with which they are about to run for the elections slated for July 21.
