Batkivshchyna and European Solidarity demand the removal of the first vice-speaker of the parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk from the leadership of the consideration of the law on oligarchs.

Instead, the meeting should be chaired by Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratyuk.

“I would like to inform you that the Presidium has received a statement signed by two political factions, the European Solidarity faction and the Voice faction, signed by Herasymov and Zheleznyak, in connection with the gross violation of the Rules of Procedure by the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada on the basis of Part 2 of Article 29 of the Rules of Procedure, we make a proposal to remove the chairman at the plenary session on September 23, 2021,” Stefanchuk said.

However, later it turned out that Batkivshchyna, not the Voice demanded the removal.

On September 10, it became known that chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov was infected with coronavirus for the second time. Thus, plenary sessions of the parliament are chaired by First Vice Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

As it was reported earlier, the law on oligarchs is being considered today.

Bill №5599 on de-oligarchization will be considered in the Verkhovna Rada under an abbreviated procedure - people's deputies will not be able to put their amendments in the hall. 217 parliamentarians voted for it. Almost all fractions and groups (except for Servant of the people) are against. They require consideration of amendments from each faction.
