Ballistic missile tests in North Korea: Britain, France, Germany invites UN Security Council to hold meeting

Great Britain, France and Germany invited the UN Security Council to hold consultations concerning launch of ballistic missiles carried out by North Korea, as TASS reported.

“Great Britain, France and Germany invited the UN Security Council to a meeting. Poland, which presides in Security Council since August, decided to hold a meeting on Thursday,” the interlocutor of the news agency said.

Secretary-General of the organization António Guterres is concerned about tests of ballistic missiles conducted by North Korea. He said it was a reminder about a need to denuclearize the Korean peninsula as soon as possible.  

Leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un claimed the launch of two missiles as a warning to military authorities of South Korea, concerning the plans about drills in the U.S.

As it was reported, Trump stated the U.S. and North Korea will continue talks on denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, which were deadlocked earlier.
