Azerbaijan blamed Armenia for the attempt to plant mines along the supply routes leading to positions of Azeri army on the border, and detained six Armenian servicemen. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's press office reported that on May 27.

According to the message, on May 27, at about 3 a.m., sabotage and reconnaissance groups of Armenian Armed Forces crossed the state border on the Kelbajar section of state border, trying to plant the landmines on the Azerbaijani territory.

"One of the groups consisted of nine, and the other one of 15 servicemen. The movement of reconnaissance and sabotage groups was taken under control. The units of Azerbaijani army perfirmed immediate operative measures against both groups of the enemy during the attempt to mine the supply routes and pathways for passages leading to our posts. Eventually, six servicemen were detained and disarmed: four from the first sabotage group, including one officer, and two servicemen from the second", the message said.

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry added that other servicemen of Armenia left the territory of Azerbaijan.
