Verkhovna Rada dismissed the government of Oleksiy Honcharuk today; but the four ministers continue to serve

The Verkhovna Rada approves the composition of the new Cabinet. The broadcast is conducted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

The following ministers remained:

  • Arsen Avakov - Minister of the Interior;
  • Denys Malyuska - Minister of Justice;
  • Vladislav Krykliy - Minister of Infrastructure;
  • Mykhailo Fedoriv - Minister of Digital Transformation.

As we reported before, today, March 4, the Verkhovna Rada has accepted the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk from the post of Prime Minister and his government. 353 MPs voted for the corresponding draft resolution No. 3158.

Yesterday, it became known that the Prime Minister wrote a letter of resignation. The relevant parliamentary committee supported the decision to dismiss Honcharuk from his office. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed to replace him with Denys Shmygal. The faction supported the proposal and voted in favor of Shmygal's candidacy.

Later, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Denys Shmygal as the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Earlier, newly-appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal and members of his government have taken the oath. The PM read out the text of the oath at the Verkhovna Rada after the support of the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers by the majority of votes.
