Ukrainian authorities under any pretext intend to cause problems for 112 Ukraine TV channel, even using the Orthodox cartoon. The MP of the Opposition Platform - For Life Party Oleh Voloshyn said this on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“It is not just another attempt under any pretext to create problems for the 112 Ukraine TV channel, which gives the floor to absolutely everyone, including representatives of the opposition, like myself. It is already a direct attack on Christian values, Mr. Gill is absolutely right,” he said.

Voloshyn emphasized that in modern Europe and the United States unfortunately, it has become unfashionable to show cartoons on religious topics in central, key media and television channels that would propagate Christian values.

“I think “Seraphima's Extraordinary Adventures" is a really beautiful cartoon. Ms. Vasylevska-Smahlyuk, the same lady who headed the committee to investigate alleged violations in the acquisition of 112 Ukraine TV channel, she also registered a bill introducing criminal liability for insulting representatives of sexual minorities, and now the channel is being persecuted for showing a Christian cartoon,” the parliamentarian added.

“The demonstration of this cartoon which promotes Christian values was wonderful leisure for children. 112 Ukraine TV channel is being persecuted because it remains faithful to the fact that Ukrainian society still adheres to traditional Christian values. If someone tries to cause you problems, I personally, as a person who is engaged in the international activities of our faction, promise to alert absolutely all conservative circles in the U.S. and Europe,” the parliamentarian added.

Earlier, Member of European Parliament in 2014 – 2020 Nathan Gill said he could not believe that the state legislator could decide to sanction 112 Ukraine TV Channel for showing a religious cartoon on the pretext that it was made in Russia.

As reported, at the meeting on 23 April National Television and Broadcasting Council decided to assign unscheduled check for the TV channel on the basis of the results of the monitoring of broadcasting, which spotted signs of violations of the norms of the law of Ukraine" On Television and Broadcasting" on air of 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

112 Ukraine TV channel published a statement regarding the cartoon Seraphima's Extraordinary Adventures, expressing regret for groundless criticism of the cartoon broadcasted during Easter TV-marathon "Easter. We are People!"

"Seraphima's Extraordinary Adventures" is the story of a girl from the orphanage, the daughter of a priest, repressed in 1937 and whose church was destroyed by the Bolsheviks. Despite the hardships and pressure from her teachers, she did not give up her faith in God.

According to the editorial board of the TV channel, “Seraphima's Extraordinary Adventures” is one of the few truly family cartoons of the religious topic, which is interesting to watch for both adults and children.

For those who criticize this cartoon before familiarizing themselves with its content, we offer to watch a couple of small fragments (in Russian):
