Heinz-Christian Strache, the head of the far-right Freedom Party of Austria and the Vice Chancellor of Austria, offered to cancel the EU sanctions against Russia. He said that in the interview for Oesterreich outlet.
'It's time to put an end to these outraging sanctions and normalize the political and economic relations with Russia', he said as quoted by Reuters.
The news agency marked that the Freedom Party of Austria has been known for its reputation as the Kremlin's supporter.
It's not the first time that Strache claimed his negative views on the anti-Russian sanctions.
The issue of continuation of anti-Russian sanctions will be considered at the EU Summit, slated for June 28-29.
