Austrian journalist Christian Wehrschütz has filed the lawsuit to the District Administrative Court of Kyiv due to the decision of the Security Service of Ukraine to ban him from visiting Ukraine for a year as the journalist reported on Facebook.

It is noted that the lawyers of the journalist demand to recognize the decision of the Ukrainian special services on the entry ban as illegal.

The defense of Wehrschütz states that this decision is “connected with the resentment of the Ukrainian authority by his coverages.”

“We will prove in the public trial that Christian Wehrschütz did not violate the Ukrainian laws and suffered due to the journalist activity,” the message said.

As we reported, Austrian journalist Christian Wehrschütz was banned from entering Ukraine for one year due to his work for Kremlin press.

The authorities of Austria have sharply criticized the decision of Ukraine to ban the journalist from the entry to the state. Moreover, Olexandr Shcherba, the Ukrainian ambassador was summoned to the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
