Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz will visit Ukraine at the beginning of September as Kurier reported citing APA information agency.

According to the newspaper, Kurz will visit Kyiv on September 4. It is noted that he intends to “strengthen the bilateral political, economic and cultural relations.”

It is noted that the Federal Chancellery did not confirm the connections between the reaction of Ukraine at the presence of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin at the wedding of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl and visit of Sebastian Kurz.

“Poroshenko and Kurz cooperate constantly; the visit was planned for autumn anyway,” the spokesperson of the Chancellery said.

At the same time, official Kyiv did not confirm the information about the visit.

It is also reported that the meeting of Kurz with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko is planned. It is expected that they will discuss the presidency of Austria at the EU, bilateral relations of Austria and Ukraine and inner political situation in Ukraine with a focus on Donbas.

Earlier Putin danced with Karin Kneissl, Austria's Foreign Minister, at her wedding. Due to this, Kurz stated that regardless of Putin’s visit to the wedding of Austria’s Foreign Minister, the policy of his state towards Russia would not change.
