The ABC channel reports it received an audio recording on which alleged President of the United States Donald Trump is asking to dismiss the then ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

According to the post, sources familiar with the recording said that the conversation took place on April 30, 2018 in the evening at the Trump International Hotel in Washington.

Its participants were probably the former business partners of Trump's personal lawyer Rudi Giuliani - Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

On the record, allegedly Parnas and Fruman told Trump that Jovanovic spoke negatively about him. After that, Trump said: "Get rid of her! Take her out tomorrow! I do not care. Take out. Ok? Do it."

Earlier the U.S. Senate voted on Wednesday to approve rules governing the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, including delaying a debate over whether to call witnesses until the middle of the trial.

The Senate voted 53-47 to adopt the trial plan, which allows opening arguments from House lawmakers prosecuting the case to begin later.

Senate impeachment trial on Trump's potential removal from the office formally began on January 17.

U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts took an oath to preside over the trial and then swore in the assembled senators who will serve as jurors, asking if they would “do impartial justice”.
