Attorney General is questioned on ‘Russian case’, -US Justice Department

It is the first known case when one of the members of the Trump’s Cabinet was questioned within the investigation

Ian Pryor, the spokesperson of the US Department of Justice confirmed the information that the prosecutors headed by Robert Mueller, the Special Counsel investigation held the questioning of Jefferson Sessions, the Attorney General within the investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election campaign as Voice of America reported.

‘The talk with Sessions that lasted for a few hours was held within the extended investigation of Russia’s interference in the election and issue of the possible hindering of the justice from the side of President Trump’, the message said.

Voice of America noted that it is the first known case when one of the members of the Trump’s Cabinet was questioned within the investigation.

Robert Mueller, the former head of the FBI was appointed to the position of the Special Counsel investigation in May 2017 to investigate the suspicions of the collusion of the members of the election campaign of Donald Trump with the Russian special services. He should get to know during the investigation on the presence of the attempts of the Russian government to interfere in the 2016 American election, the presence of the ties of the members of the election campaign of Donald Trump and Russia and all issues appearing during the investigation.
