The forensic medical examination of Armenia has confirmed 2,317 dead servicemen in Nagorno-Karabakh. Press secretary of the Ministry of Health of Armenia Alina Nikoghosyan informed about it.

“To date, our forensic medical service has examined the bodies of 2,317 dead servicemen, including unidentified ones,” she wrote.

At the same time, Nikoghosyan stressed that the final death toll is not yet known, since the process of exchanging the bodies of the dead between Armenia and Azerbaijan continues.

Earlier, the authorities of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reported 1383 dead. Azerbaijan, citing wartime censorship, has not yet reported data on losses in its ranks.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that several bodies of killed Armenian soldiers were handed over to Armenia. The ministry clarified that they are talking about the servicemen who died in the battles for the newly conquered city of Shusha by Azerbaijan.

Armenia and Azerbaijan signed an agreement on the end of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh on the evening of November 9. Later, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced victory in the war for the region. Today, November 14, the exchange of bodies of the dead servicemen began.
