Argentina will extradite a woman accused of the embezzlement of $45,700 of the state enterprise. Yevhen Yenin, the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
‘The competent authorities of the Republic of Argentina satisfied the request on the extradition of the Ukrainian citizens to bring her to the criminal responsibility due to the embezzlement of funds of the state enterprise in the sum of $45,700’, the message said.
Yenin added that the organization of the transit-shipment of the extradited person to Ukraine continues as it should take place through the territories of a few countries and the permission of the competent authorities of these countries is needed.
It is noted that the decision of Argentina to extradite a person on the request of Ukraine is made based on the principled of the goodwill and mutuality and it is an unprecedented case in the sphere of the international cooperation, taking into account the absence of the agreements on extradition between Ukraine and Argentina.
Earlier Pavlo Petrenko, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine claimed that there are no obstacles for the continuation of the procedure of the extradition of Mikheil Saakashvili, the leader of 'Rukh Novykh Syl' Party to Georgia.
