The U.S. State Department thinks that the imposing of the new package of the sanctions of the U.S. against Russia is the confirmation of the partnership of Washington and Ukraine as the press service of the State Department reported.
"The designations underscore the United States’ steadfast partnership with Ukraine and the European Union in unified opposition to Russia’s illegal purported annexation and occupation of Crimea and use of force to control parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Eastern Ukraine," the message said.
It is also noted that today's actions reinforced the Crimea Declaration dated July 25, 2018, in which stated that "the U.S. does not recognize and will never recognize the annexation of Crimea proclaimed by Russia."
As we reported the U.S. Treasury of the State has expanded the list of individuals and entities, which fall under the anti-Russian sanctions for the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the continuing aggression in Donbas.
Besides, it was reported that Russia fails to observe the 1991 U.S. law on the ban of the military use of chemical and biological weapons. This will result in tough sanctions against the Kremlin by the U.S.
