Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office completed investigation on declaration of Odesa mayor

Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) and detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) completed pre-trial investigation in the case of the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov. He is suspected of providing false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform state or local government functions for 2017. The press service of the SAP stated this, as quoted by Censor.NET.

According to investigators, the mayor did not indicate property and income belonging to his wife in the declaration. That included an apartment in Odesa, parking lots, a car, as well as corporate rights and the like. The total value of undeclared property reaches almost $ 613,000.

On April 14, 2020, the SAP informed Trukhanov of suspicion.

Today, the case file is open to the suspect and his lawyers. After reading the materials, the indictment will be sent to the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court for consideration on the merits.

As we reported before, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office completed an investigation into the embezzlement committed by the Administration of seaports of Ukraine.
