The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has taken into custody for two months MP from the Servant of the People faction Oleksandr Yurchenko, suspected of trying to get a bribe with an alternative bail of $100,000.
If a parliamentarian pays bail, he would be assigned a number of responsibilities, including:
- not to leave the place of residence without permission;
- notify about a change of place of residence;
- refrain from communicating with other people about the circumstances of the case, in particular with the second suspect - the unofficial assistant to the deputy Ivan Fischenko;
- deposit your passport and wear an electronic bracelet.
Yurchenko can appeal this decision in the Appeal Chamber of the Anti-Corps Court within five days.
The prosecutors asked to establish the amount of the bail at 230,000 USD.
As reported before, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) exposed the assistant to MP Oleksandr Yurchenko on a bribe. According to MP Geo Leros, the assistant took the first 13,000 out of 200,000 dollars, which were intended for MP Yurchenko for a bill related to household waste.
