Anti-Corruption Bureau searches house of Vice President of Football Federation of Ukraine

The detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) searched the house of Vadym Kostyuchenko, the Vice President of Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) as Unian reported.

The FFU is suspected of the corruption schemes, including the illegal use of the state funds.

Besides, the plant of the federation on the production of the artificial grass was searched as well as the partakers of the criminal case investigated by the NABU since June 2018.

In January 2019, the Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed that Kostyuchenko used fake diploma.

The investigation established that Vadym Kostyuchenko used fake diploma on the higher education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to get the state positions. Deputy Head of the FFU Andry Pavelko faces five years in jail.

Earlier the State Bureau of Investigation searched the National Anti-Corruption Bureau within a bribery case. The Investigation Bureau confiscated documents, which can testify the inaction of the management and deliberate non-investigation of the case of the embezzlement at Ukroboronprom.
