The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, NABU, investigates a possible case of misinformation on property ownership by Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko. This is mentioned in the official reponse by NABU to the UNN news agency's request.

The respective data was added to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, under the court's decision. The criminal investigation was opened on the fact of declaring the misleading information.

Previously, Solomiansky district court of Kyiv obliged the NABU to open the case against Petrenko. After his appointment for this office, his niece Bozhena Klymchuk obtained two apartments and Lexus NX200. However, in his e-declaration, Pavlo Petrenko specified he has no dwelling of his own, instead, he lives at a rented place. Klymchuk does not reside in one of the two mentioned apartments, the declaration says.
