The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) filed the indictment to the court in case of a declaration of false information by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov. The issue is about the income declaration of Trukhanov for 2017, as RBK-Ukraine reported.
The case of Trukhanov will be considered by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.
“The city head did not mention in the declaration the property and income of his wife. Particularly, the flat in Odesa, parking slots, car and profit participation rights, and so on. The total value of the undeclared property reaches almost 16.3 million hryvnias ($588,246),” the message said.
SAP reminded that Trukhanov was notified of suspicion in the mentioned offense on April 14. On June 5, the materials of the case were opened for familiarization of the suspect and his lawyers.
Currently, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine considers two cases against Trukhanov – about the declaration of false information for 2015-2016 and appropriation of 92 million hryvnias ($3.3 million) in the result of the scheme for purchase of plant building.
In June, the investigation in another case against Trukhanov ended. In April, Trukhanov was notified in suspicion in a false declaration.
