Baghdad suffered more missile strikes on Sunday, January 5. Al Arabiya reported that several missiles hit the governmental quarter in the Iraqi capital. 

"Several rockets have hit near the United States embassy in Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone which houses government buildings and foreign missions, according to reports", reads the tweet.

Members of the same family suffered consequences of the missile strike in this area, as one of the projectiles hit their house.

According to Iraqi military, another three Katyusha missiles fell in the neighboring Jadriya district. The local sources claimed that six people were injured in that area.

The situation in Iraq worsened after Iranian warlord, General Qassem Suleymani had been killed in Baghdad, under the order of U.S. leader Donald Trump. Iran promised a "military response" to U.S. actions.
