On November 1, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, and will talk to the leaders of parliamentary factions and students. This was reported by the deputy official representative of the German government Ulrike Demmer, reports Deutsche Welle.

President Petro Poroshenko will meet Angela Merkel with military honors. During the meeting, they will discuss relations between countries, as well as the conflict in the east of Ukraine, and the implementation of the Minsk agreements. After the talks, the leaders of the countries will give a joint press conference.

After this Angela Merkel will talk with Volodymyr Groysman. They are expected to negotiate mainly about trade and economic relations between the two countries and international problems.

In addition, the program of the visit of Angela Merkel includes talks with the parliamentary factions leaders and a discussion with Ukrainian students.

Earlier, President Poroshenko, together with a delegation of the State Secretaries of the German Federal Ministries, noted the importance of the visit of Chancellor Angela Merkel to Ukraine.
