Amendments will be introduced to Donbas reintegration law, specifically, the amendments shall concern de-occupation of the Crimea. Iryna Lutsenko, the representative of the President in the Parliament, said that on air of Ukrainian 5th Channel.
“Many offers are taken into account and many of them will be furthermore because now the offers come to be considered. The items already considered shall appear in the law, possibly this will be a chapter or an article on instruments and international activities in liberation and de-occupation of the Crimea.”
According to Iryna Lutsenko, the remarks by the Crimean Tatar representatives and other citizens on why the draft law does not refer annexed Crimea.
Apart from that the majoritarian MPs intend to offer additional instruments on peaceful settlement and the return of Donbas to Ukraine, Lutsenko specified.
As we reported earlier, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on Russia’s human rights violation in Crimea. The resolution says that the European Union is condemning the precedents of the persecution of Crimean Tatars and their conviction. In addition, European Parliament considered that the ban by a Russian court of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis is a violation of human rights.
