The countries with the highest Covid-19 mortality are the United States with 372,508 deaths, Brazil (202,631) and India (150,999).
In total, 89 644 299 people were infected with coronavirus infection in the world. Among them, in the United States there are 22 137 931 of such cases and in India - 10 450 284.
Asymptomatic Covid-19 patients are responsible for at least 50% of new cases of coronavirus transmission. This is confirmed by the results of a study by two employees of the US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, published in the JAME Network.
Reportedly, during the research, potential distributors of the coronavirus were divided into three groups: pre-symptomatic patients, asymptomatic and symptomatic patients.
The scientists then modeled how many cases of coronavirus each group would be responsible for, depending on when they are most infectious.
In most scenarios, pre-symptomatic and asymptomatic people are responsible for at least 50% of new infections, according to the study.
