Al-Assad to meet with Kim Jong-Un

Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, stated that he intended to visit North Korea and meet with Kim Jong-Un, as Reuters reports.

As it is noted the relevant statement Assad made a few days ago, on May 30, at the ceremony of presentation of the credentials to the new North Korea Ambassador to Syria.

“I am going to visit the DPRK and meet Kim Jong Un,” he said.

As Yohap reports, Assad noted that his state would continue supporting North Korea Government policy, enhance and improve the friendly relationships between the states.

It is remarkable that Donald Trump, the U.S. President, is to meet with North Korea leader soon. The meeting is to be held on May 12 in Singapore.
